In Cincinnati, USA lives an old man. He tells his grandson Max, who has to write an assignment on a hero, the story of Saul Kovakcz, a young man who revolted during the war. It all started in 1943 in Debrecen, Hungary. Saul takes care of Florence, his gravely ill wife. Deprived of all their rights by the Germans, they try to survive despite everything. When she died, he joined the resistance with the sole aim of saving his sister-in-law Judith. This courageous young lawyer decides to lead a fight against the Nazis during the 2nd World War. With the help of his sister-in-law Judith, he embarks on a heroic mission to save thousands of people.
